My work is deeply informed by the world around me. By lived experiences, observation, research, and the countless textures and forms that reveal themselves in everyday life. Working primarily in metal, often in oil paints, and other mediums, I approach each piece as a conversation rather than a predetermined outcome. While I may begin with an idea, the material often guides the journey, revealing possibilities I could not have anticipated.

I am intentional in understanding how metal moves, bends, resists, and transforms. The process is a collaboration. As much as I would like to claim authorship of the finished work, I have learned that metal has its own voice and its own will. Together, we negotiate, challenge, and respond to one another. In that exchange, the work evolves into what it is meant to become.

Exploration is at the heart of my practice. I am drawn to the “what if’s” and remain open to discovery rather than attached to specific outcomes. Some pieces emerge from personal experiences, while others originate through experimentation, material exploration, or ideas that linger quietly until their time arrives. Research plays a vital role in this process, inspiring new directions and helping me uncover possibilities hidden within the material.

Texture is a defining element of my work. I believe art should invite touch and create a sensory connection. The surfaces I create are intended not only to be seen but also to be felt. Through touch, a deeper story unfolds—one that fosters intimacy between the viewer, the artwork, and the broader human experience.

My practice is both physical and spiritual. Each piece is an ongoing exploration of transformation, possibility, and connection. I hope that when viewers encounter my work, they feel compelled to engage with it, to experience its textures, and to discover the stories that emerge through that interaction.
