Spoons

Spoons have over time been a symbol of love, hospitality, social status, fertility, and lineage. In some cultures, it is a symbol of courtship. Spoons are the everyday, often felt as ordinary, but in truth can become deeply sentimental.

I choose them as a symbol of joy, sustenance and support. For me they are a peaceful utilitarian weapon. They nurture and feed us; they sustain us and help us heal. They provide beauty to our inner soul. When we hold it, the spoon holds us back, it finds comfort in our hands, we find comfort when placed on our lips.

"Spoons Dance Around Us"

I will make spoons forever. One of my professors introduced me to spoon making and I never let it go. They are part of a narrative about life.
